Michael Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana 1958 to a poor home. He had 5 brothers, 3 sisters, Joseph Jackson (father) and Katherine Jackson (mother). Their house was a size of a garage. His music career started when he was five years old when his father made him a backup to the band of Michael and his brothers. The band was called the Jackson 5. But Michael soon became the lead singer because the crowd loved him. The Jackson 5 signed to Motown in 1968. They made their first single (I want you back) in 1969. Michael Jackson started his solo career in 1972 with his first single (Ben) but he made his breakthrough in 1978 with Quincy Jones with the album "Off The Wall". His genre was pop. His best known accomplishment was his album "Thriller" which he made in 1982. In 2009 Michael announced his comeback with a global tour "This Is It". But only three daysn before the concert he died unexpectedly of an anesthetic overdose. R.I.P
